Crazy Patch for Alex
Posted on July 29th, 2009 No commentsCrazy Patch for Alex
I made this quilt for my 2nd grand daughter who is getting married in Sept. 2009. She lives in Georgia and I don’t get to see her very often. She is a very creative young woman, and has shown an interest in quilting as well as many other artistic talents. I have made her a quilt for all of the important milestones in her life. Her wedding is the latest.

Dawn’s Love
Posted on July 18th, 2009 No commentsI love this quilt! It’s busy – it has contrast – and it has an interesting pattern. It’s made of two blocks – a pinwheel and a 16 patch. I made it in a class taught by Kitty Sorgen. She was very helpful to me in organizing all the blocks and distributing the yellow fabric so it wasn’t all in one area. I don’t usually make quilts with this many pieces so the project was a bit overwhelming for me, however, all the work was worth it. I am so pleased with the result!

Jelly Braid
Posted on July 18th, 2009 No commentsThis quilt was made for my granddaughter Aby……. It’s called the “Jelly Braid”. It was for her graduation from High School. She lives 3000 miles away in Georgia. It was so quick to make, and I just used scraps from my fabric stash. The only thing I had to buy was the flannel for the back. She really loved receiving it, since I couldn’t travel there she said it was the next best thing, and she will always think of Grandma when she uses it.
